CSE Department

The Department of Computer Science Engineering was established in the year 1999.

Within a short span of time, the department has established itself as one of the best department of our college and got approval for additional intake of another 60 in the year 2006 – 07. The Department is adequately staffed with faculty strength of 24 staff members, meeting the AICTE norms (15:1 student faculty ratio). In addition, 12 non – teaching staff also supports the Department. The department is having 2 professors, 6 Associate Professors and 16 Assistant Professor.

To be reckoned as an esteemed institute that would provide value added Human Resource in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering meeting the quality demands of Industry, Teaching Institutes and Research Organizations world wide who are the end users / final customers of the Human Resource.

Objective of the Department

To Excel in all aspects of academic activities and to develop creative engineers with a stature that enables them to provide leadership, credibility, with emphasis on rural development and to accept extension and public services as a third dimension to their role in addition to education and discipline.

We have a pool of well-qualified human resources who can provide a direction and orientation to the students in their learning process with a blend of theory and practical sessions.

Mr.M.Ravi holds a M.Tech in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology – Ranchi and B.Tech in Instrumentation and System Engineering from Andhra university. Overall, he has 18 years of experience in areas of Research and Development, Erection and Commissioning, Servicing, Maintenance and teaching at various establishments. In the teaching field, he has more than 6 years of experience in teaching filed .he joined in VJIT September 2008, as Associate Professor , presently he working as a Head of the Department in Computer science and coordinator of Exam.

Activities

As part of the continue education the following programs and guest lectures are conducted in the department

• TWO days National seminar on Image Processing & Artificial Cognition systems 24-03-2011 & 25-03-2011
• One day National level Seminar on Data Warehousing 19-03-2011
• One Day Work Shop on Web Technology

Achievements

• Memorandum of understand with  Industries-Infosys, Deliotte.
• Widget Application Development on Three Screens of Life conducted on 21-11- 2011, Smart Phone, Smart Mobile, Smart TV etc.
• Microsoft window `7` Sliver Light training and context is conducted in the  Campus from    1st Jan `2012     to   25th Jan 2012. The total 85 application are developed and uploaded to Microsoft win `7` context. Two Students from 3rd CSE   Mr.Omker Chowdary and Mr.Karthik are winners  I phone from Microsoft.
  
• The Institute has taken Institutional Membership of CSI for a period of 4 Years  i.e  March 2016.
• One Guest Lecture is conducted on Turing Machine and Push down Automata on 29-03-2012.
• Two 3rd Year students Mr. George  Khosy and Nishant  Vengala have participated Technical feat  in IIT Mumbai.
• Mr.George  Khosy has Successfully completed  his industrial training  onboard computer at directorate of Real Time Embedded Computers at RCI , DRDO Hyderabad.
• In Phoenix 2k12, 56 papers are received for Technical paper presentation  and Many Technical events like Poster presentation, HTML is Fun, Cop with C,etc,..are conducted.
