CSE Department

The Department of Computer Science Engineering was established in the year 1999.

Within a short span of time, the department has established itself as one of the best department of our college and got approval for additional intake of another 60 in the year 2006 – 07. The Department is adequately staffed with faculty strength of 24 staff members, meeting the AICTE norms (15:1 student faculty ratio). In addition, 12 non – teaching staff also supports the Department. The department is having 2 professors, 6 Associate Professors and 16 Assistant Professor.

To be reckoned as an esteemed institute that would provide value added Human Resource in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering meeting the quality demands of Industry, Teaching Institutes and Research Organizations world wide who are the end users / final customers of the Human Resource.

Objective of the Department

To Excel in all aspects of academic activities and to develop creative engineers with a stature that enables them to provide leadership, credibility, with emphasis on rural development and to accept extension and public services as a third dimension to their role in addition to education and discipline.

We have a pool of well-qualified human resources who can provide a direction and orientation to the students in their learning process with a blend of theory and practical sessions.

Mr.M.Ravi holds a M.Tech in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology – Ranchi and B.Tech in Instrumentation and System Engineering from Andhra university. Overall, he has 18 years of experience in areas of Research and Development, Erection and Commissioning, Servicing, Maintenance and teaching at various establishments. In the teaching field, he has more than 6 years of experience in teaching filed .he joined in VJIT September 2008, as Associate Professor , presently he working as a Head of the Department in Computer science and coordinator of Exam.

• TWO days National seminar on Image Processing & Artificial Cognition systems 24-03-2011 & 25-03-2011
• One day National level Seminar on Data Warehousing 19-03-2011

• Our student George Koshy, II year student secured 19th rank in JNTUH in 2009-10.
• Students have presented Technical Papers in various National Seminars and have won prizes.
• Many of our students have been placed in reputed companies.
• Number of our students have got admissions in reputed national and international institutes / universities.
• Many of our students / national level sports and won titles.
• Conducted national level technical symposium VIDYA01, VIDYA02 and VIDYA03 with a view to encourage the students towards research
• Organized Technical festival Cyber Veda 08, Cyrix 09 and Verve’11. Main emphasis was to bring out hidden talents through events and activities.
• Procured College Management Software and is being integrated with Staff, Students and Library databases for easy access to all the Departments.
• Established labs with high-end systems and licensed software.
• We have Video teaching practices of expert lectures by NPTEL,MIT,SONAT etc.,.
