EEE Department
The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1999.
The college has its own magnificent spacious buildings we have got well developed laboratories in the EEE Dept. The huge Library caters the need of all branches of engineering students including EEE. We have got departmental library also. All the labs are fully equipped with the latest machines and equipment. The Faculty consists of well qualified and experienced Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors.

Prof.S.M.ZAFARULLAH is graduated from Anantapur Engineering College, affiliated to Sri Venkateshwara University in 1970 and passed his M. Tech. (Energy Management ) from JNTU in first class with Distinction pursuing Ph. D in Cogeneration from JNTU. He has got more than 40 years of experience covering generation , transmission, distribution, R&D and academics. He worked in AP State Electricity Board for 27 years at various executive levels. He was associated with R&D projects sponsored by Central Board of Irrigation and Power, Govt. of India, New Delhi, for nearly 12 years. He was honored with “Cash your ideas award” instituted by the then minister for Energy Civil Aviation, Govt. of India at New Delhi in 1989. He was honored with K .S. Siva Prakasam medal for “Distinction in Engineering Technology” during late 1991 by Ministry of Energy, Govt. of India. He was a recipient of Jawaharlal Nehru Birth Centenary Research prestigious award instituted by Central Board of Irrigation and Power ministry of Energy during 1993. He is a recipient of a number of medals and cash prizes for best technical papers.
He rendered commendable service in Gulf countries for 5 years. Presently, he has been working in VJIT since more than a decade. He has created a model room depicting all the fundamental aspects of Electrical Engineering. This is inaugurated by V.C. of JNTU during 2010. His work has been appreciated by National Board of Accreditation, Central Govt.

The department regularly conducts curricular & co – curricular activities.
The department is regularly conducting the co – curricular activities like Technical Quiz, workshops, National Level technical symposium (VIDYA), seminars, Group Discussions, PDP, Paper Presentations, Guest Lectures by external experts, student’s seminars for the betterment of the students. The Department will be organizing 3 guest lectures per semester from the external resource persons.
Inter Institutional Activities
The Department has memorandum of understanding (MOU) with CETE, Physitech Pvt Ltd., Future tech and chip Industry to train the students on Designing and Manufacturing of academic Experiments.
R & D Activities
During Pre – Final year study of the course, students are advised to submit a mini project in their areas of interest and are evaluated for the performance. The students are also being taken to various industries situated in and around the institution for Industrial exposure.
Industrial Visits
Our students are taken to local Electronic Industries Manufacturing Standard and Non – Standard Instruments, Components and Systems to make classroom / theoretical teaching meaningful.
Jawaharlal Knowledge Centre (JKC)
The Department is having JKC Centre to train the students on communication skills, soft skills and personality development.
Social Responsibilities
Students of Electronics and Communications Department along with students of other department of the institution take part in vigorous campaign on the noble cause of donating blood and liberally donate blood when the institute arranges “Annual blood Donation camp”. Our students adopted a school in rural village (Venkatapur) for training and upgrading the skills of the students.
