The Department of ECE has conducted a 3-day workshop on Design and Simulation of Smart Agriculture Robot using Solid Works, MATLAB and Proteus from 9^th May, 2023 to 11^th May 2023, under IEEE Communications Society and IEEE RAS Societies. The workshop is inaugurated by Dr E Sai Baba Reddy, Director, Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, Dr M Rajendra Prasad, Head of the Department –ECE, Dr Sudarshan Jaybalan, IEEE ROBOTICS CHAIR, Ms S Mounika -Founder IIIRPD, Mrs Srilatha, Academic Coordinator and  Mr.Venkata Chalam, Senior Administrative officer. 75 students from interdisciplinary domains have participated in a 3-day workshop and gained hands-on training on design, Simulation and assembling of a Robot Using the software tools Such as solid works, MATLAB and Proteus.

As part of the workshop, on the first day students are trained with hands-on sessions on solid works, learning the basics and design of a robotic arm. On the second day of the session’s hands-on sessions on Proteus tool, followed by assembling hardware units to make a robot by uploading the data into the cloud. On the third day sessions are continued making robot movement by interfacing with Bluetooth with the available data in the cloud.
