Coding

The H&S department launched the Coding Club to encourage the students to enable them to crack technical interviews and competitive programming at the end of four years of engineering education. It aims at conducting coding competitions, establish a coding culture and motivate them to learn programming with enthusiasm.

Hackathon Club

The Hackathon Club is established in 2021 in VJIT. The goal of a Hackathon club is to create functioning software or hardware by the end of the event. Hackathons tend to have a specific focus, which can include the programming language used, the operating system , an application, an API, or the subject and the demographic group of the programmers. There is no restriction on the type of software or hardware being created. The Club provides the students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving.

Sankhyaan

The Mathematics department valiantly launched a Maths Club, SANKHYAAN on 11 January 2019 commemorating the National Mathematics Day, in an attempt to reinforce the relevance of the subject in technical education.

Mathematics being an integral discipline, it encourages students to appreciate and master fundamentals of engineering concepts. In an attempt to give our students an insight into the problem-solving strategies in the domain, Dr. M. A. Srinivas, HoD of Mathematics, JNTUH was invited to speak on our campus.

Dr. Srinivas, our Chief Guest advocated on fostering the knowledge of maths.

Dr. P. Venugopal Reddy, our Director, professed that Maths Club will contribute to the engineering students in understanding the requisite calculations for the safe design of engineering systems.

Yukthi

Yukthi, the cultural club, the soul of the department and the college creates an urge in the students to be self-expressive and buoyant. The club believes and intends in creating a positive cultural arena that reaffirms one’s own identity while sharing unique traditions and values with others staging the passion and talents of the students. The club was inaugurated in 2014 creating positive vibes among students, staff and management, giving access to exclusive student resources, helping students to maintain active student life and hone their leadership skills.

Sports

The Department of Humanities & Sciences has launched the Students Sports Club with the reflection to have an all-round development among the students. VJIT organizes the sports club with the purpose of furthering the student’s interests in a common sport or a recreational activity. Sports Club offers students a way to train and/or compete at a higher level, preparing the students to be persistent in facing the challenges of life in their future endeavors. Students like K.Haritha Rathnam won a Silver Medal in WAKO India National Kickboxing Federation Cup held at Balewadi, Pune.

Nascent

VJIT English Literary Club, ‘NASCENT’ has marshalled a few literary events from 16 to 21 September 2019, to foster a strong foundation in English language and hone excellent communication skills in order to promote professional growth and also to address the societal issues dexterously. In this regard, Essay writing (Innovative Ways to Conserve Water), slogan writing (Save Trees) and elocution (Cashless India) competitions were conducted to churn out the latent abilities of the students. Department Head, Prof. Rajendra Prasad highlighted on the significance of these activities and congratulated the aspiring students for their participation and the English Department for making this event a grand success. Over 200 students sprightly participated in all the competitions.

Photography

Initialized by two students from First year B.Tech V Ranadheer, ECE and Subramanyam. The VJIT-PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB joined the social networking site (Facebook) on 22 November 2013. The students of VJIT showed a very keen interest and enthusiasm. Initially, the page received 200 plus likes. All the nature-related photographs captured in VJIT and the events conducted in VJIT were posted on the page. As the number of photographs increased the number of likes and comments reached peak levels. The total number of likes in the VJIT- PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB is now 750 plus…..

The main intention behind this VJIT- PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB is to ignite interest among students in photography and aesthetic sense.
