An Industrial visit to National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is responsible for remote sensing satellite data acquisition and processing, data dissemination, aerial remote sensing and decision support for disaster management. The NRSC has a data reception station at Shadnagar near Hyderabad for acquiring data from Indian remote sensing satellites as well as others. The NRSC ground station at Shadnagar acquires Earth observation data from Indian remote-sensing satellites as well as from different foreign satellites. The NRSC is also engaged in executing remote sensing application projects in collaboration with the users

In this regards the students of CSE Department   from VJIT   are taken for the Industrial visit to NRSC Outreach at Jeedimetla Campus in Hyderabad on 5 th August 2022.

During this visit:

• The students are given lectures about NRSC and shown design, development and launch Satellite Project related videos
• They also visited the exhibition arranged in the facility. 

The students have gained the knowledge on:

• Remote sensing
• Various Centre’s of ISRO in India and its importance
• The satellites launched by ISRO
• Space-based applications
