Department of Civil Engineering VJIT has conducted orientation program for the first year B.Tech Students on 5th November 2022. Dr. Pallavi Badry, HOD of Civil Engineering, congratulated the students and explained about the importance of Civil Engineering for building a green society and further discussed the curriculum and the basket of courses like Basic Sciences (BS), Engineering Sciences (ES), Humanity Sciences (HS) and Management Sciences. Madam also explained about the honors degree and minor degree program, weightage of marks, professional bodies, student clubs like Delta and their activities in the department. She  emphasized on the importance of regularity of the student, attendance, and the mentoring system in the department. Discussed on how the students are actively participating in the Events, conferences, Sports, NSS and Cultural activities. Student from IV year, Ms. M. Deekshitha from Civil Engineering on behalf of all the students has presented her views and experiences during the course from I year to IV year and wished all the best to I year students.
