A technical talk was conducted on “Next Generation Civil Engineering” for the Second Year Intermediate Students, addressed by Dr. Pallavi Badry, Head and Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, VJIT, on 14th August, 2021.
Dr. Pallavi Badry, has addressed the Importance of Civil Engineering for the upcoming Students as a Career Guidance and for prospective future. The talk was also oriented towards the role of Civil Engineers in design, building , and maintaining the foundation for our modern society. She elaborated on the vital role played by the Civil Engineers in the design and development of our roads and bridges, drinking water and energy systems, sea ports and airports, and the infrastructure for a cleaner environment, to name just a few.
Thus, she expressed that Civil engineering directly or indirectly touches us throughout our day. The talk also captured the job opportunities in private and government sectors. The webinar was attended by several college students like Sri Medha College, Tapasya, Royal Jr. College, Sindu College for women etc..,
