Department of Information Technology has Organized “A Two Day ISTE National Level Workshop on Ethical Hacking” on 25th & 26th October 2016 under ISTE Chapter by Baba Shaheer, Director and Founder of Vaultrix INC.
The main objective of the workshop was to understand the importance of Ethical Hacking in various domains like Cloud Computing and Mobile Communication and Technology.
Workshop mainly focused on the students who are eager to be a White Hat Hacker. It features a brief introduction to the world of hacking starting with the importance of ethical hackers and their need in today’s world scenario, including to the basics of networking that helped a deep understanding of the working of internet.
Later, windows hacking using various methods was taught, in the module of steganography student learned how to hide files in other files in order to protect sensitive data. In phishing module students were taught how to hack Facebook accounts and Gmail accounts and thus how to avoid it.
The duration of this workshop was for two consecutive days with eight hours session each day, in a total of sixteen hours theory along with hands on practical sessions. At the end of this workshop a competition was organized among the participated students. Certificates were distributed to participants by Director, Principal & HOD.
