A Three Day Online Faculty Development Program is being organized by the Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering under TEQIP – III, JNT University, Hyderabad on “Advances in Finite Element Methods” from 18th to 20th February 2021 at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology. The Chief Patron of the FDP is Sri Jayesh Ranjan, IAS and I/C Vice Chancellor and Patron Dr P. Rajeshwar Reddy. The main objective of the FDP is to disseminate knowledge to the faculty in Advanced Finite Element Analysis (AFEA) by introducing the Finite Element Method to the Teaching fraternity equipping them with the desired knowledge to solve problems in Engineering, Sciences and Industries

The Inaugural Session had Dr E. Saibaba Reddy, Director, Dr A. Padmaja, Principal, Dr G. Sriram Reddy, HoD Mech and Dr Pallavi Badry, HoD Civil addressing the session with an overview on the significance of AFEA and the importance of updating knowledge on the latest technologies. The Eminent Speakers of the FDP on the First Day are Prof. P. Bangaru Babu, NIT Warangal, Dr. Gnanasekaran, NITK, Surathkal, Mr. M. Vivekananda, CEO, TryCAE Industrial Engg. And Mr. Venkata Amarnath Golusu, Team Lead, DEP INDIA, Pvt. Ltd. The resource Persons for the Second Day are Dr. Rupesh Kumar, University College of Engineering, OU; Mr. Ravi Shankar Badry, Senior Software Engineer, Arup India Pvt. Ltd.; Dr. V. Venkateswarlu, VKR VNB & AGK College; Dr S. V. B. Vivekananda, IIT Bombay. The Third Day the Resource Persons are Dr G. R.
