COGNITION 3R-TECHNO QUIZ CONTEST

IN MEMORY OF FAMOUS INDIAN SCIENTISTS

In an attempt to measure growth in knowledge, abilities and skills of students … VJIT conducted a Techno Quiz contest in memory of famous Indian scientists C V Raman … S A Ramanujam … P C Ray for the B.Tech Ist year students as a form of mind sport on 20.12.2013.

There was a huge response with 400 students participating in the screening test as a preliminary round with fifty questions.  The questions were from General English and General science.  Section wise top 10% students have been selected and given merit certificates. Toppers from each branch were participated in the final quiz round.

The quiz master Prof. Satya kiran conducted the mind sport with loads of enthusiasm and zeal.  There were 5 rounds of questions covering music, sports, politics, industry, mythology.  There were questions for the audience to make the atmosphere into knowledge outsourcing. Finally the winners of the techno quiz contest are from CSE R Vineeth Reddy, P Sukanya. Second (E Chandra Sekhar , A Sunil Kumar Chowdry )and third(P Jaya Simha Reddy, N Lalitha Sowmya) places were bagged by IT and ECE Departments. The event was sponsored by Talent Sprint. Winners received a gift voucher of Rs2500/-, the first runner-up prize was Rs 1500/- and the second runner up won a gift voucher of Rs 1000/-  Dr. P. Venugopal reddy, Director, Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, and Sri Venkata Chalam ,SAO  distributed the Cash awards and momentoes to the winners.
