“UBA- Rural and Community Engagement”, a Faculty Training Programme was organized by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education during 19th and 20th July, 2019. In this regard, a team of eight faculty members from the H&S department have attended the training session. The faculty were trained through a series of lectures and video sessions on the first day. The faculty were taken to Bakaram village the following day, where they listed various problems faced by the villagers by interacting with them. The faculty also shared information regarding various government schemes with the villagers and apprised them on how they can benefit from the schemes. In the final session, the team participated in the Poster Presentation Competition, where each team come up with an idea representing a Model Village. The H&S team who participated in the FDP were Dr K. Lakshmi Narayana, Dr K. Kondal Rao, Dr M Lakshmi, Mrs. P. Ramyasudha, Mrs. SJ. Geetha Devi, Mrs. Ch. Sree Devi, Mrs. Sree Devi Jasti and Mrs. G Naga Kumari.
