The Department of Civil Engineering, Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology visited CSIRNGRI on view of industrial visit on 1st February 2024. Where it includes Civil Engineering Students of 3rd year & 4th year point of subjective and research purposes & faculties.
The session started with the Seismological observatory, GroundWater Building and Open Rock Museum.The senior scientist of seismological department Dr. Rajesh Rekhapalli explained briefly about the tectonic movements, vibrations of earth, and types of rocks which adhere to the atmospheric zone. As well they showed 9m depth from the ground of the Sensor room which was protected with two parallel walls to measure accurate data in seismographs.
The second session of the visit is Groundwater Building, where which was conducted by The Senior Research Fellows of CSIR-NGRI also explained about the groundwater correlation with subsurface rocks and their movement through the previous line of the earth with a demo.
The 3rd session of the visit is Open Rock Museum, which was explained by the senior scientist of CSIR-NGRI; where it comprises the types of rocks their usage and financial application in the constructions, mainly the rocks are collected from all region of the country.
