It being International Yoga Day, VJIT has taken a lead to organize a yoga session in the campus to propagate its importance to its students and staff on 21st June, 2019. With the encouragement of our Director Dr. P. Venugopal Reddy and a sincere effort of our NSS Team, Mr. M. Gangadhar, a Yoga guru was invited to create awareness of yoga and to motivate the students and staff to practice simple yoga exercises to boost up physical fitness, mitigate mental stress and realize the spiritual core, which are quintessential for today’s generation. In this regard, Dr. Reddy highlighted on the importance of yoga in our daily lives. He professed that Yoga, symbolizing the union of body, mind and soul will promote a balanced development of one’s personality. The staff and students exuberantly participated in the session. Some of our enthusiastic students Nikhila, Raghavendra, Vignesh, Navya, Sai Krishna and others performed yoga with great fervour.
