Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

MIC has envisioned the creation of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) across selected HEIs. A network of these IICs will be established to promote innovation in the Institution through infinite modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in these campuses. Functions of IIC

• To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion.
• Opportunity to nurture and prototype new ideas.
• Mentoring by industry Professionals.
• Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
• Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
• Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
• Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries.

Funding Received towards Events

• Mentor Institute for Mentor-Mentee Scheme 2023-24 with funding assistance of 2.25 lakhs from MIC-IIC, AICTE to mentor 5 institutes.
• Grant of Rs. 12000/- Received towards to conduct events under Impact Lecture Session scheme for the AY 2021-22

Funding received towards Innovative Ideas

• Ms K Shailaja and team under the guidance of Ms K.Shireesha received Rs.15 Lakhs from MSME, Govt. of India, in February 2024 for innovative idea presentation.
• Raju Nayak and team under the guidance of Dr. V.G. Sivakumar received Rs.10.72 Lakhs from MSME, Govt. of India, in June 2022 for innovative idea presentation.
• Nithish Reddy and team under guidance of Mr.Y. Praveen Kumar received Rs. 2.15 Lakh from MIC-IIC, AICTE, Govt. of India, in March 2022 for innovative idea presentation.
• Bold and Unique Idea Lead Development (BUILD) Projects granted

• Student’s participation at 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦’𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 T-Works by IEEE Robotics & Automation Society and Incubation Support received for the 1 and 2 projects from 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦’𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐭 T-Works by IEEE Robotics & Automation Society on 12th to 15th October 2023.
• Tablet Vending Machine by our 3rd Year B.Tech CSE team: Ashish Gowtham, Varun Shah, Sai Rohit (MECH), Vishnu Priya, MD Riyyanuddin. They clinched victory and will receive invaluable incubation support from Aleap, Dr. Z Labs, T-Works, and other leading Telangana State incubators.
• Frontline Sewage Inspector, created by our 3rd Year B.Tech ECE team: Varun Reddy, Harshita, Satvika, Bhargav Deep, Nitya. These bright minds earned pre-incubation support from T-Works and ALEAP.
• Student innovators from AI Department Mahesh, G Sravan Reddy, and K Pranay: A student startup Zakopin Innovations Private Limited, a remarkable endeavor initiated by students from the AI department. ZAKOPIN is on a #missionto redefine the future of #software development using the power of AI. Their goal is to make software development accessible, sustainable, and equitable for all.
• 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐢 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 Surya Teja, Rrahul – CSE, Soma Kunal Raj – ECE, Jahnavi – CSE has secured the 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑, event organized by International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH) during 28th & 29th October 2023.
• 4 faculty members and 25 students attended on 17^th & 18^th October 2023 BVR Mohan Reddy School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SCIENT) Launch at IIT Hyderabad
• MBA HoD and 5 students from Engineering Departments participated in the Ripple Effect competition at Woxsen University on 18^th October 2023. The competition is about   recognition of our unwavering dedication to ERS (Education, Research, and Social) initiatives for Community Development.

• Madhurima Sinha, Lakshya R, Pranith Rajput Developed a CANSAT titled “Nambisat” which monitors the Air quality in earth’s atmosphere and won second prize at FEMPRENUER 2023
• Madhurima Sinha and Lakshya (4^thTech ECE) and Srikanth 2^nd year  team received global jury award for satellite at Serbia for designing “Nambisat” in the world Cansat rocketry competition 2022 during 25^th– 27^th September 2022.
• V N Kameshwari and team received Best Business Plan Competition award by Ramanujan College, University of Delhi in 2022.
• Arige Tejashwini, Ankalla Sandhya Bhanu, G Prema Shalini and V N Kameshwari department of ECE, are received “Best innovation award” by Indian Institute of Projects Technology (IIPT) during March 2022.
• Mohammad Ghouse, Huzaifa Moinuddin received best presentation award at National-Level-Event Ideathon-2k22, Kalam institute of Youth Excellence.
• Sapan Raj Mathur & CSE Team won Smart India Hackathon-2022 under Student Innovation and awarded with Rs.1lakh cash prize.
• Mr Akshath Dalmia and team of IV B.Tech awarded 1st Prize and won 1 Lakh prize money in the 24 hour Smart India Hackathon-2022 held during 25^th-26^th August 2022 at Excel Engineering College, Tamilnadu.
• Anirudh Soni, K S Keshav Kumar and EEE Team got 1^st place in Smart India Hackathon 2022 organized by AICTE on 26^th August, 2022.
• Hemanth Sai, IV year Shortlisted for Smart India Hackathon 2022 finals under Software Edition.
• M T Adarsh Raghavan of CSE secured 1^st position in National level Hackathon conducted by Anurag University with CSI Hyderabad chapter during December 2021.
• V N Kameshwari of ECE secured 2^nd position in national level ideathon conducted by IEEE Gujrat Section,June 2021
• MT Adarsh Raghavan secured 1^st position in national level Hackathon conducted by Anurag University with CSI Hyderabad chapter during December 2021.
• Sai Krithik of CSE, made to the prestigious finals of Neural Hack (Hackathon) conducted by Virtusa.
• YVD Krishna Meghana, S. Tejaswi, Zaib Unnisa Nayeem, Y. Keerthi Chowdary, A. Sai Harshitha, G. Sravan Reddy, M. Barghav of AI Dept. have won 5^th and 6^th positions in Data Hackathon organized by Anurag University in association with CSI Hyderabad chapter.
• Conducted Hackathons, Workshops under various Technical Clubs (GDSC, Android, AI ML, IoT, Computer Vision and Wiki)
• Ashfaq C Rakshita & CSE team, III B.Tech won 3^rd place in 36 Hours Hackathon held in December 2021 at VJIT.
• Akshath Dalmia and IT team of II B.Tech awarded 2nd prize in the 36-hour Hackathon on ‘Smart Machines for Industries 4.0’ organized by JNTUH & J-Hub in December 2020.
• B. Yugandhari and K. Himaja of IT awarded 2nd Prize in Chat Bot Hackathon sponsored by IBM at AGI and were offered internship from Smart Bridge .
• Nisar & IT Team, IV B. Tech were Finalists in Smart India Hackathon, 2020
