“Nobody is bothered about an institution more than its alumni” are the words of Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy, co-founder Infosys and IT industrialist. No doubt, it is the key to the institution’s growth, and can create big things for its students who can carve a niche for themselves in their careers.

MILAN 2018, the sixth Annual Alumni Meet of VJIT marked its significance of rejuvenating memories of its ex-students who showed up with zeal, and a glimmer of excitement in their eyes, on the grand eve of 6th January 2018 at our premises to refresh their old relationships with their teachers and peers. They were enthralled to be back in their campus once again.
The event sprang to life with a flash mob by their juniors followed by a warm welcome address by Mr. M.S. Goutham, Faculty Coordinator of the program.

The Chief Guest of this glorious meet was the Secretary and Correspondent of VJIT, Dr. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC, Whip Telangana State. Dr.Reddy congratulated the alumni on their excellence and their outstanding performance in their respective fields on a global scale. Our students have forayed into diverse fields, from budding entrepreneurs to top-level executives. He proudly announced that the state government has embarked on a mission to generate more employment opportunities for the young engineering graduates.

Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, VJIT, graced the occasion along with all the Heads of the Departments and the faculty. She commended the efforts put forth by the students to grow into their better selves. One must possess perseverance, and patience in the struggle towards success, which she professes are the attributes of achievers – who are none other than the alumni.

‘Distinguished Alumni’ awards were presented to seven of its members who have set a benchmark and made remarkable and outstanding achievements in their careers.

Over 400 alumni from all the branches from 2003 to 2017 were enthusiastically present at the alma mater with their families to grace the sparkling event. Some of the alumni recalled their unforgettable impressions of their college days. They expressed their gratitude to the college for the indispensable knowledge they have acquired apart from the non-scholastic activities that have nurtured them into all-rounders. They conveyed their delight that the college has evolved into a knowledge hub gradually by scaling great heights with commendable spirit and unwavering determination.

The event ended on an ardent note by weaving precious memories into strengthening bonds over a sumptuous dinner, awaiting the next alumni meet. The atmosphere and ambience of the event made all of us realise that the grandeur of life lies in its memories.
