The National Science Day Celebrations have been organized by the Humanities and Sciences Department on 5th March 2021 under the guidance of the H&S HoD Professor M Rajendra Prasad. The program was conducted to commemorate the invention of ‘The Raman Effect’ by the veteran Indian Physicist, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. The National Science Day was celebrated at VJIT with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Program was inaugurated by Dr E. Saibaba Reddy, Director VJIT and Dr A Padmaja, Principal, VJIT. National Science Day has been distinguished to spread a notable message about the importance of science. This event has been a great platform for students to showcase their awareness and knowledge in Science and Technology. The students participated in various competitions. A number of activities were organized to celebrate this day. An exhibition of science projects, models, Poster Presentations and Power Point Presentation competitions were organized. The working models prepared for science exhibition by our students reflected their innovative ideas, creativity and talent. Their explanations and justification for the questions posed by the Guests Dr E. Saibaba Reddy, Director VJIT and Dr A Padmaja, Principal, VJIT and the Judges were highly appreciated. The First Year students proved their efficiency by answering spontaneously to the questions. The event was a joyful learning for the students who prepared the projects as well as for the audience who enquired and gained knowledge from them.
