Andalous: The Sports Fest for the sporting stars, Yukthi: The cultural fest with shades of art
Mrs. Sunitha Anand, the iconic women cricket player formally inaugurated Phoenix-2k15 and declared the meet open, in the gracious presence of Director, Principal, HODs, Physical Directors and Student participants on 23rd January 2015. There after, sports organizing secretary welcomed all the competitors and led them to there respective play ground, for the games to commence. Cultural events went on in full spring. Extraordinary talents bloomed in the grounds. The entire campus rose-up-to the occasion with each one in high spirits to compete, to support, to cheer, to win…..
VJITians as a family put in their bestest to conduct the sports and cultural fest, leaving no stone unturned to live up to the expectations of hospitality. All the through the day VJIT premises was buzzing with activity.
Phonenix2k15 on 24th January started with extra enthusiasm to proceed for the day long competitions unfolding winners at the end of the day. The dusk of 24th January 2015, saw the culmination of mixture of emotions in the Ground and off the Ground Mr. Revanth, the super singer accompanied by Mrs. Sameera enthralled the gathering with most popular numbers in Hindi & Telugu, audience danced to their tunes, the singers in their singing spree, energised and charged up the audience.
After the unstoppable performance of the celebrities valedictory function of Phoenix 2k15 began Dr. Mazoor Hussain, Principal, JNTU sultanpur, did the honors as the chief guest along with Director, principal on the dais Trophies, Cups, Medals, Certificates for all the winners runners and participants were given away by the chief guest.
Andalous Events: Volleyball, Basketball, Throw ball, Badminton, Football, Kabaddi, Table Tennis, Carroms and Chess.
140 Teams participated from JNTUH, IIIT, VASAVI, VNRVJIT, CBIT, MGIT, MJCET, MVSR, CVSR, MREC, GNITS, SRIDEVI and JBIET.
Total Prizes: 9 winner Trophies, 9 Runner Trophies, 50 Medals, 140 Individual mementos.
Yukthi Events: Dance, singing, Mono Action, Comedy skit, Mehendi and Rangoli.
Teams from: JNTUH, VNRVJIT, CBIT, CVSR, MREC, JBREC, Mahaveer College.
