Engineering Education without Borders
Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology is one of the consortium colleges of IUCEE organized a Three-Day Workshop for the students under VJIT-SPEED chapter (Student Platform for Engineering Education & Development) on Engineering Education Without Borders for the engineering students of the region. Students from GCE: Aurangbad, NMREC: Hyderabad, Vignan IIT: Visakhapatnam, Siddhartha College of Engineering: Vijayawada, MLRIT: Hyderabad, Anurag Group Of Institutions: Hyderabad, Anurag college of Engineering Kodad, Anurag School of Engineering, Hyderabad etc. Nearly 139 students participated to give best action plans. The workshop theme is to address on the following 3 tracks.
Three student facilitators Mr. Rahul Akula, from G.Pulla Reddy College Of Engineering, Kurnool, Mr. Prithivi from HITAM Hyderabad and Ms. Shravya from Anurag Group Of Institutions, Hyderabad effectively & Skillfully conducted the workshop.
Track 1: Re-Imagineering Engineering Education in and out of classroom had 25 members and the facilitator was Mr.Rahul Akula
Track 2: Knowledge networking through collaborative learning had 40 students and the facilitator was Mr.Prithviraj.
Track 3: Engineering and Engineer through problems specific learning had 60 students and the facilitator was Ms.Shravya.
They created awareness among the students about the IUCEE- SPEED and introduced the theme of the workshop to the students. They divided the students into three tracks to address three different tracks. The participants so very enthusiastically participated and competed among themselves to offer the best solutions to the task given to them.
The Presentations on the third day i.e August 5, 2015 were judged by the Professors of the VJIT .Prof M Krishna Rao, Prof Archanaa and Prof A N Rao were the judges for the three tracks.
The respective track judges selected three best action plans, one from each track. All the students were given the participation certificates.
The award winning action plans from each of the tracks are :

Track2: Knowledge networking through collaborative learning: Booting graphs
Track 3: Engineering an Engineer through problem specific learning: Vision to blind people
The workshop boosted up the talent of the participants and everyone enjoyed and enthusiastically participated and bagged lot of memories to share with others.
