It is a prestigious milestone for Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology to host a seminar on ‘Introduction to Computer Applications’ on February 17, 2018, in collaboration with Telangana Academy for Science, the Chief Patron being, Dr. P Rajeshwar Reddy, MLC, Secretary & Correspondent, VJIT. This colossal event was organized by the Department of Humanities and Science to foster the applications of computer science, to model complicated engineering systems for a better tomorrow.
The program commenced on a grand note in the august presence of our Director, Dr. Venu Gopal Reddy, Principal, Dr. Padmaja, Chief Guest Dr Narasimha Reddy, President, TAS, Prof. M. Rajendra Prasad, HoD(H&S) Mrs. G. Srilata, Academic Coordinator, Mr. R V Chalam, Asso. Prof., and our Guests of Honor, Prof. Shiva Reddy, CVR College of Engineering, Dr. Gopalakrishna Behara, Lead Architecht, Wipro Technologies, and Dr.Govinda Rajulu
Principal, Dr. Mrs. Padmaja extended warm acknowledgements to the distinguished guests for their effort to enlighten the students of their knowledge.
A brief overview of college was apprised by Dr. Venugopal Reddy, who said that VJIT has stretched its wings of knowledge acquisition to scale the heights of success.
Prof. Narasimha Reddy shared his deep insight into the modern applications of computers and the novel approaches in automating and sophisticating various fields of Healthcare, Biology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Agriculture, and Education. The intent was to obtain useful knowledge to support the creation of tools targeted to assist large obstacles along its way by reducing and bridging the gap between academy and industry.
Dr. Behara took the students and staff on a virtual tour on how technology is shaping our future, of the Operating systems, laying emphasis on Windows and Linux and other tools, thereby synthesising traditional education system with the up-to-the-minute components of computer science.
The audience were struck with awe by the profound knowledge of Dr. Govindarajulu blended with prudence that took them to a higher plane of perception about the concepts of computer applications.
Prof. Siva Reddy highlighted that computer application is the basic and requisite tool in design process. He augmented that these applications must be integrated into engineering software, thereby increasing the scope, range and power of engineering.
Prof. Rajendra Prasad, HoD, H&S cited on the significance and relevance of the seminar to the first year B.Tech students that would help them foray into the world of modern science by integrating computer technology into their careers.
The event ended on a brilliant note, the students having got a gist of the judicious use of computer applications.
