A Six Day Faculty Development Program on “Disruptive Technologies in Electronics and Communications” was organized by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE Student Chapter from 22nd to 27 June 2020. The main objective of the FDP is to propagate various technologies adapted in electronics and communication engineering. The speakers have shared their knowledge. All the session were handled by the internal faculty members of various disciplines. The FDP has instilled knowledge for the Faculty, Research Scholars and students on various technologies adapted in electronics and communication engineering and learnt the importance of latest technologies used in various topics. The Six Day FDP was presided by Dr K. Vasanth, Professor & HOD/ECE HOD and coordinated by Dr S. Thulasi Prasad, Professor/ECE & Dr M. Vadivel, Associate Professor/ECE.
First day forenoon session was handled by Dr K. Vasanth, Professor & HOD/ECE on ‘Leo orbit nano Satellites design’. Followed by the session on “Computer Vision and its Applications” handled by Dr P Ganesan, Professor, ECE. The Second day of the FDP forenoon session was handled by Dr S. Saravanan, Assistant Professor/ ECE, on “Video Streaming and its Applications” and the afternoon session was handled by Dr V. G. Sivakumar, Associate Professor/ECE, on “Underwater Acoustic Signal Processing”. The Third Day FDP forenoon session was handled by Mr. S. Upendra, Assistant Professor/ECE on “Machine Learning and its Applications” followed by the afternoon session handled by Dr M. Vadivel, Associate Professor/ECE on “Latest Trends in Wireless Communications”.
Fourth Day forenoon session was handled by Dr Siddhartha Ghosh, Professor & HOD/AI on “Data Science in Engineering” and the afternoon session had Dr M. Girish Kumar, Associate Professor/ECE lecturing on “Nano Interconnects”. The Fifth Day of the FDP forenoon session had Dr C. N. Ravi, Professor/EEE who gave a lecture on “Nature Inspired Optimization”. Followed by Dr Phanindra Bogu, Professor/MECH in the afternoon session addressing on “3D Printing and its Applications”. The last and Sixth Day of the FDP, in the forenoon session Mr Md Akram Ahmed, Assistant Professor /ECE had given a discourse on “Modern Antennas for Communications”. The Afternoon session was handled by Dr P. Ganesan, Professor/ECE giving a lecture on “Artificial Intelligence and its Applications”.
