In reverence to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the ‘great souls’ who stand as beacons for the youth to explore the future with courage, strength, character and vision, VJIT celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September, 2019.
The gratifying ceremony radiated an aura of pride among the teaching fraternity on the campus. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. P.Venugopal Reddy, Director, Dr. A. Padmaja, Principal, Mrs. G.Srilatha, Academic Coordinator, Dr. Satyanarayana Reddy, Administrative Officer, and Mr. Venkatachalam, Sr. Administrative Officer. The programme was kindled by an invigorating speech by our Director appreciating the teaching staff for their persistent endeavours in bringing the best out of the students. Given the dynamic changes in the field of education, he emphasized on setting clear objectives in view of student needs, appraise new tools in teaching, and train the students’ minds to think out of the box to meet the new challenges at every stage of their lives. Our Principal urged the teaching fraternity to evolve as evocative teachers in dispelling ignorance of the students and boost their confidence to dream big.
In honour of the relentless services of our teachers, it is customary at VJIT to felicitate the Best Teachers of the year. Dr. Aruna Kumari, Prof in CSE Dept Dr. Ravinder Reddy Prof in Mechanical Engineering Dept, Dr. Siddharth Ghosh Head, Placements & Prof in IT Dept, were announced the Best Teachers for their incredible and holistic service. HoDs Dr.B. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Sriram Reddy, and Prof. M. Rajendra Prasad congratulated and appreciated the awardees for their tremendous support in strengthening the departments.
The programme ended with a festive fervour with the release of Teachers’ Day edition of the college magazine CARTWHEEL by our Director and Principal.
