The Rural Entrepreneurship Development (RED) Cell of Vidya Jyothi Institute Technology has organized a Workshop on “Creativity @ Grassroots” for Students and Faculty Members on 18th February, 2021. Mr. Brigadier P Ganesham, VSM (Retd), President, Palle Srujana has addressed the audience. In the years since Independence, India has made immense progress in Agriculture. Speaker has thrown light on the importance of agricultural-sector and shared his vast experiences by giving many examples of people who are very creative. The speaker majorly focused on various innovations that took place in agriculture and highlighted the following innovations: Manual Page Turning Machine, Modified Combined Harvester, Pole Climber, Pedal Pump, Motor Cycle Weeder, Sprayer, etc. Innovation at grassroots creates Reduced Input Costs, Local Employment, Local Wealth Distribution, etc. It provides low cost livelihood in sectors like: Weeders, Seeders, Cultivator, Bio-Pesticides, Animal Medicine, etc.
