Professional Bodies

Overview

Each department in the College has well known their own Professional Bodies and Student Chapters like IEEE, ISTE, ACM, CSI, IETE, SPIE Etc…
The ISTE has conducted its 42nd National convention at Anurag Group during December 2012.
Under these Professional Bodies all the departments organizes events like Student workshops, Seminars and Guest Lectures.
Students are regularly sent to attend National and International conference through these Professional Bodies.
The presence of Professional Bodies in the College is crucial to Engineering Education

Inauguration of IETE Student Forum (ISF) on 19th September, 2009 in VJIT.
The IETE Student Chapter was inaugurated by Prof. K. Babu Rao, Vice-President, IETE, Hyderabad. Other Dignitaries attended the function are Dr. V. Guna Sekhar Reddy, Chairman IETE Hyderabad, K. Subbi Reddy, Treasurer IETE Hyderabad and V. Purushotham Reddy, Secretary, VJIT, Dr. P. Venugopal Reddy, Principal, VJIT.

The VJIT-IEEE Student Chapter was Started on 24th October’2014 with a initial membership of 35 students and 5 Faculty.
Three workshops were conducted under IEEE Student Chapter for the Academic year 2013-14.
Hands on Training on latest Technology such as Embadded Systems, VLSI, Advance Image and Video Processing etc..

Inauguration of ISTE Student Chapter on 23rd November 2013 by Dr. Priti Chandra, Guest of Honour.
The ISTE Student Chapter was inaugurated by Dr. Priti Chandra, Senior Scientist-ASL, DRDO on 23.11.2013, in her inaugural speech she highlighted the importance of thought process and team work and emphasized on the quality technical education and role of Professional chapters. Secretary & Correspondent Dr. P. Rajeswar Reddy, Director Dr. P. Venugopal Reddy and Principal Dr. A. Padmaja were present for the Inaugural function.

The VJIT-CSI Student Chapter was inaugurated on 2nd Feb ’2013 by the Technical Director, EC-Council of India.

Optical Society of America (OSA) is an international society for development and progress in the field of Optics and Photonics. Optics and photonics are the interdisciplinary subjects in Engineering.
On 26 November 2012, an official approval from OSA was granted to Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology to form the OSA student chapter.
A good number of students from first B.Tech have taken the membership of OSA. OSA Student Chapters receive many benefits including activity and travel grants, guest lecture resources, networking opportunities, and much more.

SPIE- An interdisciplinary approach to the science and application of light with its head office in USA.
The Student chapter was established in 18 October 2012 at Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology (VJIT), Hyderabad, India.
Ever since its establishment, the SPIE student chapter VJIT has been very active in organizing programs for the awareness and promotion of Optics and Photonics and applications by the Department of Physics, Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, India.
At present Fifty SPIE student members are present in the chapter.
