The branch is having all the necessary infrastructural facilities such as high end (DELL) server connected with public IP; Xerox machine, B/W copier, latest systems with LAN connections, etc., The heavy workload of various activities of the examination section, including the workload related to B.Tech along with M.Tech & MBA is shared among the Addl. and Asst. Introduction of CBCS

As per the instructions of the University, the college has started implementing autonomy along with Choice Based Credit Systems simultaneously from the academic year 2015-16. Under CBCS the student’s performance is assessed not by conventional marking system but by the credits. CBCS system offers the choice to the students for moving vertically and horizontally. It means that the students have a choice (limited) to choose subjects of his choice within the department and also outside the department.

Mandatory Course

AICTE considers that the Course work of some of the subjects should be made mandatory. AICTE made it clear that for the award of B.Tech., degree since familiarity is considered essential, a pass in two such courses is required. Therefore, AICTE suggested that these courses may be included as non-Credit ones. After discussing with the departments, it has been decided to introduce five Mandatory Courses.

  1. Professional ethics, Human Values and Self Development
  2. IPR and Cyber laws
  3. Disaster Management
  4. Gender Sensitization
  5. Professional Communication

These courses have chosen such that they will help the students in moldings their career holistically.

Guiding Principles in Framing the Syllabi

The impact of globalization forced higher educational institutions in this country to function in a dynamic environment. Privatization, widespread expansion, increased autonomy and introduction of programs in new and emerging areas are essential for the survival of the higher education system. In view of this, the concept of giving Autonomy to certain colleges has been introduced by the UGC. Autonomous college as per UGC guidelines are having the mandate to restructure and redesign the courses to suit the local needs.

With these guiding principles and based on the mandate given by the UGC, the syllabi of various departments have been finalized. While preparing the syllabi, enough care is taken to see that the length of each unit is equal so that certain problems faced earlier are removed. In framing the syllabi, every effort is made to do away with certain obsolete topics and introduce the latest and relevant topics. In the finalization of the syllabi of each department, an innovative and pragmatic approach has been adopted so that the students feel thrilled and elated in learning certain new techniques and improved technologies.
